I love my blog so much even though I have only been doing this for a short while. I kept debating and debating on what I wanted to do with the name because I wanted to blog more about life and things that matter to me along with my craft projects. I knew I wanted it to be a name that was creative and open and would really help me tell the story of my life. In that, came the birth of {Country} Life ... with a front porch view!
I hope that everyone will be happy with the new blog name and continue to follow me on my journeys. As a mom, I think this change will only bring me better opportunities in life and new friends ... two things that I really love. It's a real blessing to come as far as I have!! It only goes to show you that hard work and determination really does pay off!
Today, is a very special day for me, it's my 29th birthday! I've already had the best day ever, and it's only 7 am here! We did a ton of pre-birthday celebrating with friends! I so loved every minute of it! I got to see a friend that I've had the pleasure of knowing for 8 years now. I cannot believe it has been that long! She lives in the next state over (which isn't that far away) but we just don't get to see each other as much as we'd like. It was nice to catch up with her and talk about the good ole days! I also got to see a few of my other friends that stopped by my house. I finished my night by sitting up late with my hubby and our roommate watching movies ... oh yeah, after we ate Mexican, of course! It was a great night!!!!
It's a real blessing to be where I am today, and I hope my next 30 years are even better! I hope we get to go out and do a lot of traveling. I want to see the world so bad! Not only that, this girl wants to go see Mickey Mouse!!! I have never been before!! I also want to go back to St. Louis and take Logan to the Gateway Arch! It is so beautiful. I enjoyed our weekend trip there back in 2006 for our honeymoon. There are just so many things I want to see and do! I hope that my family and I have the opportunity to go and explore and just take in what our country has to offer!
One of my biggest obstacles in the coming years will be to see what is wrong with either my body or my hubby's that is keeping us from becoming pregnant. We have been trying for another child since even before we got married! It just hasn't happened yet. It's really sad at times and gets me to feeling really down and depressed, but I do my best to keep on truckin' and hope to find the answers soon. If it's not in my grand scheme of life to have another little one, we will look into adoption. This Dee-Dee (as all my little kiddos call me) loves kids way to much not to pursue that option! I wish you could all be fortunate enough to know me and see how much joy kids bring me! I love them! At times, I think a little too much, haha! I had a whooping total 8 kids at my house the other night just running around being silly ... 7 boys and 1 girl from the ages of 2 to 10! Of course, mine is the oldest in the bunch!!
As I'm writing this to you all, I am smiling and really thinking about my day and the things I want to do! It's going to be an awesome day and hopefully a totally kick-butt year!
